Privacy Policy

Tide does not collect your data. There is no account, no server, and no analytics.

Effective 24 August 2026 · Feepfoop Inc.

The short version. Everything you enter stays on your device. The app has no login, makes no network requests, and sends nothing anywhere. Delete the app and your data is gone with it.

Who this covers

This policy covers the Tide iOS app ("the app"), published by Feepfoop Inc. ("Feepfoop", "we", "us"). You can reach us at frank@feepfoop.com.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, receive, transmit, store, sell, or share any personal information or usage data. We have no ability to see anything you enter into the app.

This is a consequence of how the app is built rather than a promise we ask you to take on trust: the app makes no network requests, and contains no accounts system, no analytics library, no advertising library, and no third-party tracking of any kind. The only addresses in the app are the links in Settings, which are handed to iOS to open.

What the app stores, and where

The app stores the information you enter so it can show it back to you. This lives in a single file inside the app's private storage on your device, which other apps cannot read.

WhatWhy
Areas of life you create, and how often you want to tend each oneTo track your rhythm
Sessions you logTo show progress and history
One-off tasks you captureTo count them against your day
Daily energy rating, Chaos Day and Low Energy settingsOptional, to adjust suggestions
A display name, if you enter oneOnly to say hello on the home screen
App preferencesTo remember how you like it set up

None of this leaves your device.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules it locally with iOS. No push server is involved and no device token is created or transmitted. You can turn the reminder off in the app, or revoke the permission in iOS Settings, at any time.

Exporting your data

Settings includes a "Copy my data" action that places a copy of your data on the clipboard as JSON. This happens only when you tap it, and the data goes wherever you choose to paste it. Once it is on your clipboard it is subject to iOS's clipboard behaviour and to whichever app you paste it into.

Deleting your data

Two ways, both immediate and complete:

Because we never had a copy, there is nothing for you to ask us to delete.

Third parties

The app includes open-source software components that make it run: the Flutter framework, and libraries for state management, local file storage, generating identifiers, local notifications, time zone data, and opening links. None of these components collect or transmit personal data in this app. There are no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no social login providers.

Links out of the app

Settings contains links to this privacy policy, our terms, and a support email address. Tapping one hands the address to iOS, which opens it in your browser or mail app — the app itself makes no network request, and we are not told that you tapped it. Once you are in your browser, that browser's own privacy terms apply.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you. Those rights are satisfied here by design: we hold nothing about you, and you hold everything yourself. You can view and edit all of it inside the app, export it from Settings, and erase it whenever you like.

We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not have any.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy — for example if optional cloud sync were added — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. Any such feature would be opt-in.
